That futile effort to save the boundary is the worst I have ever seen Jamieson on the field lol. Has been a real nightmare.

Laxman is probably my favourite batsman of all time but I wouldn’t say I found his batting aesthetic. His height made him look a bit ungainly imo and it often felt like he almost generated power for his shots through a robotic rotatable belly rather than using his full body in unison.

Dravid was the most aesthetic of that generation imo.

what. Laxman's on drives and wristy timing through midwicket were pure ***.

Ok you've got me chasing my own tail here lol. I think he's aesthetically the most pleasing batsman I've seen since Laxman and Inzy retired, but that counts for little overall. His technique in terms of effectiveness is not the worst either, but it's the lapses in concentration that let him down usually.
I also thought Laxman and Inzy had horrible looking techniques so I just don’t like watching that style of batsman I think.

I thought Laxman had a horrible looking technique. Inzamam too. Agree about Dravid, super solid looking technique. Runs most important

I have to say David Boon and Graham Gooch were the most aesthetically pleasing batsmen of my childhood. Both absolute heroes.

I guess what would even be the recipe for an Indian win? Get a lead of 20-30 tonight and then hit hard for 40 overs tomorrow trying to get a lead of like 175-200 and then hope to get them out in 40 overs??
