How do you name a place "Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty?"

Isn't that a bit up itself?
It's a designated thing for conservation, not something a town or something can just name itself. There's a few of them around the country, the "AONB" areas on the same screenshot mean the same thing, not sure why Surrey Hills has it written out in full

Did New Zealand miss a trick by not sending in Wagner late? He could have resumed whenever play starts again and have a swing. New Zealand needs to up their run rate now that they have established a foundation.
Good idea in hindsight, but at the time they weren't to know bad light would curtail play that early.

Objectively NZ's day by a long way

Oh there are more of them? Doesn't that kinda diminish the value of the term "outstanding?" (or beauty?)

The excitement of test cricket nipped by the weather gods. This is one test match you wanted no breaks.

I'm sure today is a call off
Yes. I do see a tense final day. I think it'll either be a low scoring contest with NZ looking to chase 150-odd with not much time or alternatively India looking to bat out the day after NZ post 400-odd.

They did consider making this a timeless test apparently. Was surprised to see the last timeless test was so long ago.

The last timeless test was the fifth test between England and South Africa at Durban in 1939, which was abandoned as a draw after nine days of play spread over twelve days, otherwise the England team would have missed the boat for home.

my favourite thing about this match has been how howe or gimh haven't popped in here much because we'll make fun of their june rain thing
That's pretty terrible actually. They're good posters and if they're avoiding this thread because of that then CW is poorer for it.
