*Official* New Zealand in England 2021

Ball's coming on to the bat nicely unlike the Lords deck. There's bit in the air and of the pitch. Chance of a big score batting first from England. Great toss to win and bat. I'm not making excuses already.

Our 3 seamers are all between 5’10”- 6’1” bowling 130kph. Unfortunately floaty and skiddy are both types of ****
Yep, this is a Jamieson deck if anyone. Just play the bastard. Back him off in the 2nd dig if things are looking too heavy load-wise.

I don't understand how Henry's seam presentation is so bad. He's an international cricketer ffs
Didn't he dominate FC cricket particularly in his first few years? Most of the NZ contingent here were very excited at the prospect of him being a part of the attack. Did something happen along the way or or a case just not picking up new tricks?

Gentle start this.

Boult's seam position/rhythm has been just slightly off for a good year or so now. Needs some work.

That's a very good point. Could have played Kyle. They could have bowled him less in the second gig.

imagine how good NZ would be if they stopped letting tumors fester. Imagine an NZ without Santner or Henry. Imagine!

Every single test either of them play I think (as they fail miserably) "Surely that's the final test they ever play, we don't have to worry about seeing them ever again!"

But they just won't die!!!

They'll both do a Guptill and end up with nigh on 50 tests of failure.

Uses that though doesn't he? Likes the natural variation that jags back occasionally. Can be quite effective in the right conditions, tbf.

Henry was crazy good when he first hit the scene. 140km, big away swing.. Potential with the bat. Not sure where it went wrong, but it's been a good 2 or 3 years since he was looking good in international cricket. He's had plenty of chances, I hope this is his last. Hopefully he takes it eh.
