Yes this pitch looks quite easy paced and consistent. 'Duke does more after the lacquer scuffs slightly' needs to do some heavy lifting for us.

Henry was crazy good when he first hit the scene. 140km, big away swing.. Potential with the bat. Not sure where it went wrong, but it's been a good 2 or 3 years since he was looking good in international cricket. He's had plenty of chances, I hope this is his last. Hopefully he takes it eh.
Not sure about this take? Essentially the story of his 7 year international career is he has always been good with the new ball in ODIs and bad at everything else. Nothing much has changed.

Every single test either of them play I think (as they fail miserably) "Surely that's the final test they ever play, we don't have to worry about seeing them ever again!"

But they just won't die!!!

They'll both do a Guptill and end up with nigh on 50 tests of failure.
But then they're economical. They hold one end up  this attitude has killed a lot of our domestic spinners. Hope rachin doesn't get desperate and go that way.

Yeah looked very impressive in his first couple of years in ODIs, was quick enough and troubled the Pakistanis in the UAE. Still a pretty good ODI bowler, in the Kyle Mills vein. Maybe all that time on the bench as a squad member in both tests and ODIs would have have been better spent in FC or honing skills, need others to weigh in.

Bowled a good last over though, he needs to just keep hitting that length if nothing else.

Henry mostly playing under our condition has terrible record after 10 test matches.

Santner... don't bother.

Doull saying we discard players way too quickly? What's he smoking? Can't remember any players discarded of late. Santner has played 25 tests.

Not Terrible
This conversation about Henry is so stupid lol. Henry being the worst bowler to ever play 10 tests for NZ and still being picked in a strong era IS the story. Not ‘oh but actually he’s good for some reason’.
Guptill and Santa have been brought up but it’s incomparable. Statistically they both performed about as well as the next bloke we had to fill that role. Eras of poor openers and poor spinners.
there Is no way the next 5 seamers we bring in would end up averaging 50 after 13 Tests

I’m wary of getting increasingly drunk and negative, so let me just clearly lock in my prediction now that we are getting absolutely flogged in this test, and I’m going to get very angry about what poor preparation that is for the final
