I'd be surprised if that happened. I wouldn't claim to totally understand Southgate's thinking on the four right-backs selection, but I think it was more about those particular players rather than the need for four RBs per se. I reckon Ward-Prowse comes in if TAA drops out.

Using a predictor I got the following last 16 ties in order

Belgium v Germany
Italy v Ukraine

France v Denmark
Croatia v Poland

Spain v Austria
England v Portugal

Netherlands v Czech Republic
Turkey v Russia

A decent chance for a side in that bottom quarter if the groups go as I predicted to reach the semi finals.

I'm hearing Turkey are the middling country with a pretty good team this year, they'd really fancy it if they ended up with that draw.

Yh I had Turkey reaching the semis myself losing to Portugal, Italy losing other semi to France and France winning the competition.

Am I the only one who feels that these warm up friendly thrashings aren't really telling us anything about how good or bad the Euro 2020 participants are?

Yeah.

Between players not wanting to get injured, managers rotating their squads and in some cases positive covid results ruling players out, there's little to read into the warm up games.

I wouldn’t feel too lonely with that thought. Just about every fan has thought that about every tournament since 1930.

Think they're missing a real No. 9 and have been for a while. Depay seems to be the current CF with Weghorst.
Weird, they have exactly one position that isn't a problem and it's that one. Depay is great there for Netherlands and I think he just plays there at club level now too.
