It's going to be fascinating to see what they do. I'll be livid if the same old faces appear.

Is Pooran interested in playing tests? Coz last time I checked, he's played his last FC quite a few years back?

And I know Bravo's at the end of his rope etc, but jeez I really wish he'd turn it around

He is on record as wanting to play tests, but his career threatening injury at 19 made him want to get some money in the bank first.

He played 2 4 day tests on NZ for the A side and looked awesome before getting himself out for ,40odd in almost every innings.

He's so talented though I would just go with him tbh. Same with Hety as opener, the alternatives are so ordinary that I don't think we have anything to lose.

Oh yeah fml totally forgot about the A tour. Yeah he's gun and capable, but temperamentally, not sure yet. Remember him striking it well and throwing it away (from highlights). But still, could be useful middle/lower middle order bat + he should improve heaps. Awta re: Hety.

Also hopefully Hope as well :P Really thought he'd fare much better than he actually did

Yep it's not ideal but I just don't see what we have to lose by letting him learn on the job when the equivalents are just not good enough at the moment.

So get him in I say. It would certainly be an entertaining batting lineup, that's for sure.

Literally as I type that Hety gets out in the most boneheaded way possible. It would be a crazy ride, that's for sure.

I am sure shai hope is still the windies best batsman. I'm convinced he can still be a good test player
He needs to score bucketloads in the FC season and rediscover the art of red ball runscoring. I agree, he definitely has it in him.

You must be expecting seaming pitches to only include Cornwall as a spinner? Also why retain mosely?

The general pattern in the Caribbean has been seamer friendly and we use a Duke ball with an even more pronounced seam then the English one. So seamers will get preference, I guess. Might be wrong though.

Mosely would be my reserve opener.

Yes I would also go with 3 seamers with mayers AR and Cornwall, I just thought they would put warrican at least in the sqaud, if only to keep sl guessing about what type of pitch to expect. How did mosely get on in new Zealand this year and what was it that got him selected originally? Did he have a good domestic season

He's the best opener we haven't tried in the opening spot yet, if that makes sense?

Averages in the late 30s in most FC seasons, scored a hundred in NZ, plays well in intra squad matches, faces a lot of balls.

I don't think he's the answer but there are literally no other natural openers offering a realistic alternative.

Joshua Da Silva’s YouTube channel is cool.

Shows us how he trains and things typical West Indian kids do. He loves pepper sauce...I tried some of the Trini pepper sauce before. Just think that they’re too sour for my liking.

Tour diaries and all that.

News of a 'Best of the Best' 4-day match in the works.

The best 26 players in the region, 13 a side, only 11 can bat?

Still developing (which basic means that I have to visit the Windies cricket site)

I really hope they stream that, it will be a great watch. Great idea this, will be good preparation for the tests.

This is probably the best time we have for cricket in the region. Everyone is in the bubble...and they are at the Coolidge ground. Stanford was the last guy to have assembled this amount of cricketers in one place.

More cricket, the better.

I'm on the Nial Smith Bandwagon. Now is his time to shine. Excited to see how he does in this sort of environment.

Have the players in those squads agreed to take part? If so that suggests hety will be in the test squad.
Also this isn't quite the best players in the region as the one day squads aren't involved?
