Very good 50 for Rahane! hope he coverts this to big one..
Tough pitch????A clutch knock on a tough pitch from the great man when the chips were down. What a player.
it will take a lot more than a ton for kohli coup.. if that ever happensGood fifty from Jinx. Really needed that from him
Turn this into a ton and the Kohli coup is on the cards
i actually thought about raising kohli as an example of someone who can succeed despite following the ball (he's a serial offender) but i've already got the english chasing ghosts i cbf potentially dealing with the indian posters. All modern day batsmen tend to play the swinging ball away from their body, and Rohit is usually more willing to leave the ball than most (see: Kohli). If that's the worst of his technical sins then he's pretty sound relatively speaking.
No they don’t. And when they do they don’t all try to play it square through cover point with an angled bat as he does. It’s absolutely a significant technical flaw in his game. All modern day batsmen tend to play the swinging ball away from their body, and Rohit is usually more willing to leave the ball than most (see: Kohli). I don't think Rohit actually reads length badly, he's just plays bad shots sometimes. He plays some ridiculously great shots that suggest it's not that hard for him to pick length. He just doesn't have Kohli's shot selection.i actually thought about raising kohli as an example of someone who can succeed despite following the ball (he's a serial offender) but i've already got the english chasing ghosts i cbf potentially dealing with the indian posters.
the big difference is kohli reads length so much better than rohit does and he plays straighter.
Eh I think what you're describing is a very common phenomenon in modern day cricket, especially with batters who are proficient in white ball stuff. No they don’t. And when they do they don’t all try to play it square through cover point with an angled bat as he does. It’s absolutely a significant technical flaw in his game.
yes rohit has been goodA clutch knock on a tough pitch from the great man when the chips were down. What a player.
What is baffling to me is, Rohit has the ideal game for long innings. he has much more variety of shots than kohli IMO. can play the short ball a lot more comfortable and unlike kohli doesnt need to run singles frantically to score big 100s. But still, he chooses to play a rash shot and give it all away..I don't think Rohit actually reads length badly, he's just plays bad shots sometimes. He plays some ridiculously great shots that suggest it's not that hard for him to pick length. He just doesn't have Kohli's shot selection.
Kohli is far more likely to nick off to swinging balls outside his off stump than Rohit IMO. Can't seem to avoid temptation..
Yeah, but unsurprisingly you’re wrong.Eh I think what you're describing is a very common phenomenon in modern day cricket,
Plenty on offer for the spinners.Tough pitch????
Few have turned and bounced, very good pitch to bat on. People are way overhyping this because the ball has disturbed the surface occasionallyPlenty on offer for the spinners.
