crowds just have to use their brains imo (yea i know). experienced test cricketers who spend a lot of time on the boundary tend to have a sense of humour, but you've got to actually be funny or at least in good spirit.oh yeah i agree. but, in general, australian sport really is, or at least should, be moving past that. too much damage has been done, too many brilliant players driven from various codes to not have basically zero tolerance going forward.
plus even when it's not friendly rivalry stuff it takes a patient person to listen to a fresh chant of "give us a wave >name< give us a wave!" thirty seconds after your last wave and give the crowd their 17th wave of the day knowing you have 32 more to go (don't get me wrong i am all about players giving us a wave).
