Hmmm...that's a bit brave for my liking, would've liked another 20 and a couple more overs chewed up.

this is chaseable but the pitch might be a bit too attritional to do it at a pace quick enough to scare nz. big chases need momentum.

One of these days there'll be a troll chase of 400 on a flat NZ wicket that only gets flatter, but I don't think this is the one. Difficult to force the pace unless NZ bowl very poorly.
Though if there's time for ~130 overs left in the match, this is only 2.85 per over - it's not completely out of the question. On this wicket I think it would require NZ to bowl a lot of loose stuff though.

With the way NZ are batting, KW's cleary targetting a pre-tea declaration. Reckon NZ will bat for 15 more minutes and then declare.
I think this declaration timing i.e.bowl a few overs pre tea, was always the best choice. Just expect Williamson to usually be a little more cautious than average though.

Lovey ball from Boult. Don't think Southee should worry too much about the cracks, they're too wide of the stumps to really have much influence for the quicks (if Santner can find them tomorrow from over the wicket they may be a factor though).

Who is scummy Scott. I may be wrong but every time Henry gets an opportunity its as a 3rd seamer, he's clearly a new ball bowler. His odi record suggests he's capable.
I would like to see Bennett or Bracewell. Is wheeler still around

that's not good from masood. it was the three quarter ball so it was going to leave him anyway.
A frustrating player, you'd have to be an idiot to be discussing dropping him but even though opening is so tough these days a little more consistency would be nice when you look at how awful this middle order is.

Abid not up to much but he is lucky they are bigger problems in this side.

I mean it's also good bowling isn't it? balls 1, 3 and 5 all swung in prodigiously and then the 3/4 ball threatened to swing in but held its line.

Given the variable bounce and movement on show, Jamieson could be an absolute nightmare to face on this.
