I assume Scotty Stevenson is in there to do the Mark Howard role. I actually don't mind him, I'm sure he'll settle into his groove after a bit more experience. Few comments in here about how he doesn't know much about cricket, I have to disagree, have got on the piss with him a couple of times randomly and he definitely knows his ****. there was aerial driving in pakistans innings too, especially later on from rizwan and faheem who were definitely not intending to interest short cover. the deck is definitely slowing down and becoming stoppy on the drive.

might be ideal for pakistan if they adjust. slower deck like the uae, can use their wrists to manipulate square or just dead bat everything. bouncers from wagner and jamieson will sit up nicely.

I don't think New Zealand need another 150 or close to that, this is a minnow batting line up and their is no version of Warner/Sehwag who could go out their and make a blazing start to concern NZ.

Another 50-100 runs should be more than enough against this rabble.

What exactly would the selectors have to gain by picking Henry? He's 100% a known quantity, had ample oppurtunities but has consistently failed to make any use of them.

Who is scummy Scott. I may be wrong but every time Henry gets an opportunity its as a 3rd seamer, he's clearly a new ball bowler. His odi record suggests he's capable.

no there's competence here and conditions are looking kind for grinding batting right now. wouldn't be surprised for azhar to last over 150 balls here.

Yeah, this pitch is giving me Sri Lanka at the Basin Reserve vibes. Feels slow, hard to score, but hard to take wickets. Hopefully it's more of a Pakistan in Hamilton scenario.
