I can’t see any reason for Head being super quality. He’s way too free outside off stump with his drives. I honestly feel like he could be out at any momentYeah, if Australia are smart about it, Head is the one to go. I think you guys are being too harsh on his dismissal. It was set up beautifully by Ash. Proper old school offie's dismissal of a left hander. Bowled a few that were full from the same trajectory and got him on-driving successfully a couple of times. Then threw one slightly up from a similar trajectory that dipped on him and then turned, resulting in the caught and bowled.
I actually think Head will be a good batsman in the long run but right now, for the next test, if Warner is fit, the best way you can fit him in is to pick on form and on form, I think Head is the one who has to go. Wade can bat 5.
Wont rule out them not playing Green though, if they are concerned about his back issues etc. May need him more for Brisbane which may well be the 3rd test now.
nearly managed to goober up the catch off Kohlihe might just be the most talented cricketer in the world* unless he's a goober in the field.
At least in the knocking guys out at pubs stakesI don't think Green is more talented than Stokes.
I mean it's too early to tell but his FC record so far is genuinely ridiculous.I don't think Green is more talented than Stokes.
Averaging 26 in the Ranji last season wouldn't have helped.Yep, someone has asked it on Plebbit: why no Karun Nair?
I do find it interesting how a player can hit a triple and disappear off the face of the Earth. His non-test average (47.4-ish) is significantly worse than Rahul's (55.8-ish) and certainly not exceptional by the typical averages in Indian domestic cricket.Averaging 26 in the Ranji last season wouldn't have helped.
Lol nah. Just highlights what an easy run Burns has had, played 3/4 of his Tests at home against weak opposition, and left out whenever we have a challenging series. Anyone who reads those stats and concludes that Burns in the team helps Australia win is either not paying attention or not particularly brightNow I see why selectors are so keen to have Burns in the Team. Foxtel just mentioned Australia has won 64% of the Tests Burns played in (14 wins from 22 tests).
He also averages 52.03 in these 14 test wins with 4 hundreds and 5 fifties so a successful Burns seems to mean a winning Australia
Good thing India played him into some form
Foxtel quoted that the captain and coach think he's the team talisman so I guess they aren't very bright then...explains a lot lolLol nah. I mean sure that's exactly the kind of thing you say in the media though isn't it, doesn't mean you believe it lolFoxtel quoted that the captain and coach think he's the team talisman so I guess they aren't very bright then...explains a lot lol
You know what, thinking about it now, might as well go for it, I mean why the **** not? Series has a whitewash written all over it right now, it'd atleast be fun and there might be potential for a memey 70(50).Pant at 4? Wtf shri
You should get behind my Jadeja as opener plan thenYou know what, thinking about it now, might as well go for it, I mean why the **** not? Series has a whitewash written all over it right now, it'd atleast be fun and there might be potential for a memey 70(50).
