Interesting, innit?

Early days but if Green able to forge a career, next few years will be especial viewing

McGrath though what a machine. Almost 550 wickets at 20!
I'd take the McWarne attack personally. McGrath/Gillespie > Starc/Hazlewood. Cummins >>Lee. But Warne >>Lyons. And imo, McWarne and co bowled against better batting (generally). India, Pakistan, WI (sad to say), South Africa, England (probably) had better batting lineups then, than they do now. Still, this Australian attack is something special and to produce such a great attack in short order, makes he hate (jealous) of Australia even more (jk about the hate part)

I don't think there is much of a disparity in batting quality now compared to then. There were class batsman then and thee are class batsman now. I think conditions have been favorable to the bowlers this decade though

I think Cummins is McGrath's equal in the long term. Big call but if he stays fit, he may end up among the higher echelon of fast bowlers such as Marshall, Steyn, McGrath, Hadlee etc. Haze fell away a bit before getting back to his best shape in the Ashes and his numbers will improve. Starc has the x factor and this attack covers all the fast bowling attributes there is and some one like Green could make it even more efficient by sharing the work load but i wont write too much in to it cos blokes in his age can have all sort of long term injuries so he should be managed.

Regardless of how good Lyon is, Warne will always make that attack superior though

I've said it before but this bowling attack is good enough to have done this kind of thing more often than they actually have. Dismissing England for 67 is the only other time I can remember them really running through another side like that. Despite Cummins being an ATG and Starc and Hazlewood both being world class bowlers, they rarely seem to actually run through sides or string together mini collapses.

From now on I think Cummins has to open the bowling. He's our best bowler and always seems to be able to take early wickets whenever he's given the new pill. I mean look at it from a batsman's perspective, would you rather face Cummins and Starc or Hazlewood and Starc before you're set?

I genuinely don't think India did a lot wrong today. Kohli looked like he got out softly but in reality he got out the same way he always gets out early doors against Australia - by nicking off outside off stump. The rest of the batsmen were undone by some of the best pace bowling you'll ever see.

And I'm really happy that Burns could turn his form around like that. The turning point actually seemed to be the injury. After that it's like he said "**** it, I'm going to play my shots" and he did.

All the false pride of Indian team... All put to rest today. They should have a photo of that scorecard in their changing rooms where they go naked.. to remind them that often the emperor has no clothes..

I think the Indian batting lineup today would tell you that they rather not face Hazlewood

Haze was brilliant today, but Cummins is better. He's more consistent and you'll note that the collapse was triggered by his bowling.

Its not that Cummins wont be amazing opening but the other two would be more effective with the new pill. Starc is the swing man and has a knack of striking in the first over so he should start off. So its basically down to Haze and Cummins and i think Haze relies more on the new pill than Cummins.

What ever way they throw it around, this attack will always be good. Im just glad that the prophecy of four horsemen of fast bowling around 2011 started to come true (with Patto also being fit) because for a while it looked like it was going to be a myth.

Did you see their nakedness the previous two days also? Seriously, **** off with that attitude. Don't watch another ball if it hurts so much. The guys are already away from home and family in stressful times, the last thing they need is fairweather fans like you.
