i've seen what was being mentioned before - Warne mentioning the Steve nickname given to Pujara (and it seems many players of colour) at noted racist County team Yorkshire. dear oh dear.
just to be clear, this dear oh dear is more aimed at Warne seemingly being unaware of the current situation, which to me as a professional commentator with plenty of English links he shouldn't be.

Its almost funny since Warne has been calling him that on air for years

How? If he doesn't make runs, it means that he loses test runs which he didn't make.
he’s got nothing to lose because the batsmen haven’t coped with it, he’s not really expected to last, and he’ll be out of the side next test after taking 0/190 for the match anyway.

You are being a bit harsh on Ashwin here.

not based on his record with the ball over three tours here Im not.

well that was a pretty compelling days play. And for all the handwringing at teaover Muh slow over rates, we got 89 in anyway

If we're really looking to blame somebody, Mike Mr Cricket Hussey loved a quick single

Very high quality day. Bowling was great throughout and India managed to mostly negotiate it way better than I expected. Its not a road imo

Ponting has nothing to lose when he tours India, then, by that logic. Actually Ashwin has a fair bit to lose..

only was able to watch portions of it with any attentiveness but seems a good day's cricket.

still deeply unconvinced that shaw will hack it as a test opener. that's really, really not a test opener's shot, sehwag comparisons or not.

Overseas viewers should have seen the summer the Australian commentators, particularly Mark Taylor tried coping with pronouncing Labuschagne.

Very good day of cricket. Australia and India both gave away very little, except for Rahane who gave away the captain

Get India for less than 300 and its advantage Aus imo. Pitch is not doing much and edges weren't carrying. Looks primed for a flawless Smith century.
