When did Steve Smith dominate Anderson in England?
The 215 at Lords in 2015. Anderson 0/99 off 26.When did Steve Smith dominate Anderson in England?
some boomer is gonna hold this against smith so hard. couldn't take wagner, the great west indies would kill him.(except Wagner I guess).
Anderson almost always goes missing in the Ashes, saying that he has caused Smith considerable problems over the years is frankly laughable
Unless you count 2010 Smith that is
Anderson has got him 6 times in 22 matches. Hardly his bunny or anything. Broad has done better against him.
When did Steve Smith dominate Anderson in England?
I will have to dig through but I don't remember him dominating Anderson. I think Anderson is the very type of bowler, in England, who will annoy Steve Smith. Not taking away his greatness or the fact that is ATG already but there are always some match ups that you feel will work out better. Anderson hates giving away runs, Steve Smith hates getting out, I see it being more of a stalemate than a win either way and I suppose with Steve Smith, getting to a stalemate is in itself a win.
What I mean is, the games he accelerated in the 2019 Ashes, he would have had to work harder had Anderson been part of the attack in those conditions.
HereWho here said either of these things?
"Don't remember him dominating Anderson", "stalemate", "work harder had Anderson been part of the attack"Here
Hobbs was ridiculously good. Most 100s in Australia. Barrington averaged about 70 in Australia, which is what Sutcliffe averaged against them overall. I think it's clearly Hobbs 2nd still.Smith has pretty much already done enough to be considered the second greatest batsman in ashes contests really. This isn't even a we must wait til his career his done to properly assess him type thing. It's Bradman, than Smith, then we can argue about Hammond, Hutton, Waugh and Ponting and stuff if we want
