That is absolutely brilliant. Have to sign that one about Boycott, absolutely perfect summary of the man.More good banners:
Simpson: Just wondering whether the Peter Toohey Stand being upside down indicates his supporters feelings...
May: Yes, his supporters probably had a sinking feeling yesterday
In other news someone has uploaded highlights of five of the six tests of the 78/79 Ashes.

One of the nice things about watching cricket televised from England is that we are spared Norman May, but one of the unhappy things about it is that we must suffer Jim Laker.
this time it was just a random copyright troll who put a claim in thinking they could make a quick buck, it seemsRobelinda made the ABC today:

**** gets wicketsI've been watching a bunch 80s ODI highlights recently. I know Burgey bangs on about it, but the number of wickets Botham gets with really crap balls is just extraordinary. The long hop well wide of off, hit to anywhere between third man and square leg, is his specialty.
Wavell Hinds 8(57)Why the hell was Lara batting at #9 in this game?
Only having 20 innings in 4 years is interestingShahid Afridi, never known for his consistency with the bat, had a 20 inning period in test cricket from Feb '02 to Jan '06 where he hit 970 runs @ 51.
Beats me, but then again it is virtually impossible to attempt to comprehend the logic of the Pakistan selectors at the best of timesOnly having 20 innings in 4 years is interesting
Can only assume he wasn't a regular selection which is a surprise if he's making 4 tons and 4 fifties in that time along with his bowling
3 of those tons (and a 92) were scored in the final 7 innings of this period from mid '05 to early '06. Later that year ('06) I think he actually retired from tests and then made a one-off comeback in 2010 before retiring again. So part of this is down to Afridi's own personality. In that one off test he actually got 31 off 15 in the first dig lolOnly having 20 innings in 4 years is interesting
