GIMH
Norwood's on Fire
Scrapping the play-offs and the promotion spot they come with would have been a reasonable outcome, even if I am biasedSorry, misinterpreted your comment about it being a joke.
The fact of the matter is that there was never going to be a solution that was financially viable and would keep everyone happy.
That said, I think the play-offs should've been scrapped as if the clubs vote to finish the season they can't then carry on and play games (and in one case I believe ask for handouts as they can't afford to play the play-offs).
I do sympathise with Tranmere and would do so even if it weren't for GIMH but have yet to see a convincing reason why the season being made null and void would be a fairer solution for those at the top who would be denied promotion than those at the bottom who might've avoided relegation - and in terms of finances it would be a lot worse.
In terms of your financial point - sort of - but it's the difference between being given a paycut and denied a payrise isn't it?
