Yeah he’s a very valuable asset to their side. Very good cricketerCan't wait for Pandya to be back. Been too long.

Was given a very long rope as opener. Not sure he has anything to complain about.Rahane is a gun number 5 batsman it cruel what the selectors done to him over the years
This is my dream. If only Bennett had been there to combine with Neesham at the death in the World Cup final ...
Still a game to go. Presume it will be Taylor since he pretty much won both games for NZ with the bat.Presumably Kohli mots again?
He should have gotten a longer run as a middle order bat imoWas given a very long rope as opener. Not sure he has anything to complain about.
They're working through all their world cup PTSD in this series IMO. Resetting their minds for the T20WCNZ just love replaying the WC don’t they. First the super overs now this.
NZ bowled well. Indian batsmen had a few soft dismissals. Somehow Saini and Jaddu conspired to keep it interesting till the last ball.followed this through updates. what the **** happened here? i thought we were buried
Compared with the verbal bath Neesham got from McMillan, it's quite staggering. Southee has been poor (was outstanding last night) and gets the royal treatment, while Neesham gets slayed by his former coaches. Don't spose we'll ever find out but Jimmy obviously did something to **** Macca and Hesson off in the NZ environment"fielding leader" LOL. I love me some Southee but wow, I had to laugh at their praise.
In saying that, great spell. He always comes through like Taylor when under pressure, as frustrating as he can be of latter years.
tbf jadhavs selection in this team if he isn't going to bowl makes as much sense as chapman's made today for nzl. instead of him if we had any of Pant, Pandey or Gill at that position then we might probably have won. I don't know what Pant has done to piss off the TM tbh. Kohli says on one hand ODIs don't matter right now yet won't drop himself and celebrates like there's no tomorrow after taking bowlers like Kesrick williams to the cleaners, all the while continuing to make harebrained selection choices. i hope this series is the last we see of Thakur, jadhav and dube though i wouldn't hold my breath. These two losses show the lack of experience and balance in the Indian ODI side. I reckon Dhawan and Rohit opening with guys like Rahane/Rayudu/Dhoni in the middle would have easily completed this chase. Right now it's all on Kohli to deliver under pressure.
it is too much to expect this currently of jadeja tbh, that innings in the wc semi was a fluke and sealed his return to the LOI team for the near future unfortunately. we were in this chase only because of saini and not jadeja after going 7 down. Those big hitting days of his are over, the only reason we got him back is because our other spinners/bowlers can't bat to any competent level at all. this is also why kohli keeps playing thakur.I think inexperience does play a factor but my worry with playing Jaddu anywhere below 5 is what we saw today. He just does not have the hitting range. Neesham was going for wide yorkers with point and third man in the circle and a ridiculously short straight boundary either side and 45 degree only a few yards longer. He never even THOUGHT of trying to angle the bat for 2 or 4. If someone can get with him and work on his hitting range around the ground, he can be the ultimate #6 for us, with Pandya to come at 7.
I think it's probably just some time-honoured middle-class and working-class friction, that one with Neesham and the commentators. Working-class people who've risen a little bit above their initial strata like Hesson, McMillan and Doull do feel they can take out their own insecurities pertaining to class by chipping away at the foppish middle-class environmentalist kid for any bungling they see, in a way they will tend to shy away from with a simpleton who grew up on a dairy farm in Waiotira (Southee).Don't spose we'll ever find out but Jimmy obviously did something to **** Macca and Hesson off in the NZ environment
Big-hitting Jadeja is the biggest myth in Indian cricket. I mean, he can hit a long one if it's absolutely in his arc and not an inch outside, but any bowler with any kind of awareness can tie him down in knots otherwise.it is too much to expect this currently of jadeja tbh, that innings in the wc semi was a fluke and sealed his return to the LOI team for the near future unfortunately. we were in this chase only because of saini and not jadeja after going 7 down. It explains a lot though doesn’t it? Southee can be horrendous in one day cricket four five years and seemingly be an automatic pick, hell he’s the captain in 20/20 cricket somehow. Same with Munro and his chances in one day cricket. Luke Ronchi, who only left because he retired (and then got a job as our fielding coach right away, a job which he is obviously terrible at too) Jimmy Neesham on the other hand is dropped time after timeCompared with the verbal bath Neesham got from McMillan, it's quite staggering. The big-hitting bowling all-rounder phase of Jadeja is why Indian fans derided him for so long, because he was so bat at constantly hitting big. But this was hardly his fault, he started off as a top order batsman and even played at 4 for RR. Suddenly he was thrust into the finisher role in International Cricket as his first gig and had to learn on the job.Big-hitting Jadeja is the biggest myth in Indian cricket.
