Seems Australia can't compete with the big ODI teams unless Warner fires.
starting to lack big odi teams here guysNeither can India/ England tbh if Rohit/Roy doesn't fire.
Kohli is the new Bevan. Smith is the new Tendulkar.Man Kohli's extra 4 runs per hundred balls totally trumps Smith's 46 extra runs at a 50+ higher average in the series.
Averages for bowlers in limited overs are less significant anyway. Keeping it tight counts for a lotClassic case of why averages dont tell everything.
Haha. Don't do that to poor StephenKohli is the new Bevan. Smith is the new Tendulkar.
That is true of most batsmen. Juz needs to work on getting some big shots away even during the middle overs. Its what modern ODIs are about anyways. He probably realised our middle order is extremely vulnerable if he got out
Kohli is Kohli and Smith is Smith.Kohli is the new Bevan. Smith is the new Tendulkar.
Smith wishes...Kohli is the new Bevan. Smith is the new Tendulkar.
I always get nervous about young cricketers, especially batsman who get dropped/arent playing Shield. It means they have a flaw which has been exposed so going overseas against good International bowlers regardless of the format, is always going to be very tough.Turner at his best is certainly good enough, but even his domestic form this season has been pretty ordinary. Not too surprised he has had a bit of a struggle
*facepalm*Kohli is Kohli and Smith is Smith.
Both are great ODI batsmen. One is probably a bit better than the other even if the other has accomplished more in world cups to date.
Tendulkar and Bevan were very far apart as players, far moreso than Smith and Kohli. At least you can make realistic comparisons between the latter two. Comparing an opener to a number 4/6 doesn't make a huge amount of sense.
I think ODI and Test rankings can tell who lags how much than the other in both formats.smith is a hall of very good odi batsman, kohli is an odi ATG. kohli is a hall of very good test batsman, smith is a test ATG.
imo there’s not much discussion to be had
