His second best ODI score in over 200 innings was 77. He didn't pass 50 any other innings In 1996

But just comes out 3 for nothing in a WC QF against McGrath, Warne, Reiffel and Fleming and blasts 130

On paper that's basically our best ever ODI attack as far as I care

Arguably, misreading the dew cost Australia that World Cup final as well. Electing to bat instead of bowl was definitely the wrong choice.

Strongly disagree here. There was 3 ODI series between SL and AUS in Asia (96-99). SL won all the 3. SL was very strong ODI side in 96-99 period.
