O'Rourke from Auckland looks alright. The second wicket look good (bowled Lellman), the first wicket looked like he was collapsing/falling away in his action and it was a bit floaty.Wickets falling in heaps for ND and Wellington. The ball maybe moving a bit. Also used pitch from the ford trophy so slightly on the slower side?
So far haven't see any outstanding fast bowlers yet. Seen some funky stance and grip. The ND lads, most of them seem to have been copying King Kane. Things they have taken from Kane:
Twirl the bat before they take stance
Backfoot drives
Stance
Grip
There's also lot of Virat back and across styled batters.
I haven't seen anyone copying Rosco yet.
The opener for ND, Pomere Kane look alike back foot drives looks a good player. Has played for NZ U19s both in Aussie and vs Bangladesh.O'Rourke from Auckland looks alright. Good story. Don't really see the Wasim Akram comparison though - he's more your typical left arm whippy action like Boult/ Vaas/ Ashish Nehra. Akram was all shoulder. Also heard a lot about MA Abbas, he's son of Azar Abbas Pakistani cricketer that settled in NZ few years ago. Played a season for Firebirds and then couple of season for Aces. There's lot written about this lad. He's supposed to be a very good batter as well.
His bowling action resembles Wasim Akram, that's no brainer is it? If he's a Pakistani lad and a left arm is there a better bowler to look up to?
The lad has a beautiful run up, repeatable and a very safe action. His action looks like a first class bowler's already. Doesn't seem quick but with age that should come. Wonder if he swings with that, he ideally should with that action.
Yep son, Might have something to work with bowling wise, kid must be 6’5 at least. Wasn’t quick by any means but was getting some decent away shapeTL Bradburn in the ND side, relation to Grant Bradburn? His son likely?
A Ashok 4 for 8 off 8 overs for Auckland. The lad does seem to turn the ball. Excited to see a leggie that turns the ball.
Isn't that McClure's job?I haven't seen anyone copying Rosco yet.
Close enough...Isn't that McClure's job?
