Haha yeah, but he gets a point off for being in such ridiculously poor form that he didn't realise he smashed it.Decent run out tbh
Got sawn off in this innings too

Yeah Broad was alright at times, if under utilised by RootReplace Broad, who was decent, with Henry.
Welp, no need to worry about this in the end.If Henry takes 6-8 wickets in this match it would be hard to pick Ferguson over him regardless of his unsuitability for Aus conditions. You can paint yourself in a corner with conservative selections.
scored one against the #1 pakistan side iircOn paper you could make an argument that this is Ross's first test ton against "tough" opposition since Perth 2015....ironic given the conditions.
Yeah that ton was why I didn't state it definitively, that series was actually vaguely competitive but Pakistan in NZ is kinda iffy as "tough opposition" these dayscute moment at the ground. a kid wearing a taylor shirt yelled out 'yay daddy!' behind me on the bank when the boss smoked the six for his ton. not sure it was his daughter though given she'd get to sit in the wags area wouldn't she?

Again at Hamilton. His record there is pretty sensational. 6 hundreds in 12 tests at an average of 56.cute moment at the ground. a kid wearing a taylor shirt yelled out 'yay daddy!' behind me on the bank when the boss smoked the six for his ton. not sure it was his daughter though given she'd get to sit in the wags area wouldn't she?

we expected that series to be far more of a fight then it was. i don't think you can discount runs against the #1 side though just because they're a subcontinent team down here. it has a whiff of george dobell to do that.Yeah that ton was why I didn't state it definitively, that series was actually vaguely competitive but Pakistan in NZ is kinda iffy as "tough opposition" these days
To be fair I always shout Yay Daddy when Ross hits a six.cute moment at the ground. a kid wearing a taylor shirt yelled out 'yay daddy!' behind me on the bank when the boss smoked the six for his ton. not sure it was his daughter though given she'd get to sit in the wags area wouldn't she?

Hey I'm all for giving Ross's innings mad props. "#1 team in the world" and "match saving innings against England" both work for me.we expected that series to be far more of a fight then it was. i don't think you can discount runs against the #1 side though just because they're a subcontinent team down here. it has a whiff of george dobell to do that.
this english bowling group has arguably been easier than those pakistanis were tbh. broad only seems to show up for the ashes, the mercenary cbf trying unless he has a duke on a green top and woakes and curran are still developing at test level.
kane and ross' tons here probably count as much as kohlis last innings dead game runs at the basin did (he was a spud before that knock) but they look nice and they did the hard work of killing the game last night and this morning.
Is this one of his latest ESPN whinges?Just read Dobell's whinge
Someone tell me there's audio, I need it.
Tbf, out of England's last 7 tests played in NZ, 5 have ended in draws, so I could understand why an English correspondent might take a slightly dimmer view of NZ pitches. Of course, 3 of those 5 draws have been heavily affected by rain (the 1st and 2nd tests in 2013 and now this one), and the other day have been thrilling matches with close finishes that easily could ended in results. Still a ridiculous flounce from Dobell.Just so everyone knows, since the start of 2015 (arbitrary date based on nothing more than I like 2015 as a year), there have been 22 Tests - we've won 14 of them, visitors have won three and there's been only four draws. We have the 2018 England Test in Chch where Sodhi and Wagner held up for a draw (a genuinely thrilling Test even without a result) then three others which had a certain amount of rain to them.
