My brother and I ended up getting some tickets. Going to day 1 and 2, and will see how the test goes for there. Should be fantastic, though the day 1 seats aren't so good as we got in late! A teammate of mine has also got us free tickets to the first England T20 next Friday as well, good start to the summer of cricket for me.

I paid ~800 return to Melbourne, 22nd - 2nd which seemed reasonable. Though if you're coming from Japan I could imagine it being very different.

That sounds awesome. Are day 1 tickets almost sold out? Hard to believe in such a big stadium. I imagine hotels may be at a premium as well.

It’s about 800 to go to Melbourne but about 1500 to go back to Japan. And that is with lengthy transfers depending on the airline.

I should have got onto it a lot quicker,

I can go to NZ and back directly in February for about 1300.

My question is, should I buy advance tickets for the basin reserve test against India or can I just rock up on the day?

BIt gutted Phillips hasn't made it in. Would like to see him in the squad at least. Interesting to see that he's not keeping for Auckland, he was pretty good behind the stumps in the CPL.

Got my tickets for Days 1-4 of Boxing Day test, got flights pretty cheap about 650 return. Flying via Sydney on Xmas Day though and get back to Chch at 5am on the 3rd though, so pretty yuck flights.

Great to see Jimmy Neesham picked. Can't understand how he misses out on selection consistently. He's definitely international class.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
I would've like to see Bruce persisted with a bit longer, Chapman too. Guess they're just gearing up for the best WC XI

After the summer he had, he is a shoe-in. I'm confident that Neesh will produce more consistency after how he slayed that world cup. Should be oozing confidence and self belief. Now only if Corey Anderson can rediscover his 2013-2015 mojo, along with Scott Kuggelejin for the extra pace and hard hitting, we might just have the strongest allrounder bracket in the world...as we already all know that Santner is a proven LO's match winner. He's world class.

I paid 1200 for direct flight xmas afternoon and back the evening of the 30th... Still feel a bit sick about paying that much

Quite devastate by the last night's result in the rugby semi finals  Still can't believe we lost. That's for a different forum though.

Anyways the NZ XI vs England today 172 off 20 overs. Runs for Devcich 62(43), Anaru Kitchen 50(36), Seifert 20(22) and Josh Clarkson 18 (8, 2 6s and 1 4). England chase just started.

I can’t believe tickets for this 20-20 vs England next week in Wellington are $60 at the cheapest ... $50 with the NZ Cricket presale code. Do they want a decent crowd? Or are they happy with sub-10,000.

I really can't believe how NZC sets the ticket prices... Shouldn't they rather set it at $30 and sell maybe 15000/20000 tickets than sell at $60 about 2000 or 3000 tickets? They price it so far out there's barely any crowd at westpac over the last few years barring the WC and the Indian games.

It looks like the ticket prices are high due to them being involved with a charity? Though I didn't see that advertised a lot
