Sure, but losing here in Indian against the top team in the world is not a case of suddenly becoming the worst either? It is a case of rebuilding again around new players.

Jadeja shouldn't have been able to make it look this easy. You've turned him from a 9 into a legitimate option at 6

Fair enough. India have been the best team around for a while now imo. But if your spinners are being taken apart, shouldn't you atleast try your seamers again? The captaincy has not been great. Maharaj hasn't been great but kudos to him for taking on the role of bowling machine for Faf!

Batting depth long term is fine, we have many good young players coming through. de Bruyn has been disappointing, but is obviously been given the series. Have an excellent young batsmen in Hamza sitting in the shed. And our bowling prospects are still good, if young and in need of experience. The disappointment here has been Maharaj who up till now has been great.

The tactics in the last two matches have made no sense. And I find it difficult that it is been dictated from the dressing room and not from Faf himself.

Shouldn't be too harsh on Maharaj, he's been taken apart in this series but he's done the job for SA over the last 3-4 years.

Muthusamy needs to go though. And if Bavuma and De Bruyn don't get runs, them.

I don't know man, when Jadeja is actually setting out to bat and not have a dash he is a proper number 7 in Tests.

Fair fair. But he's batted below 7 a lot in tests. Won't be doing that moving forward now though which is cool

This has been a tough assignment for a youngster like Nortje. Ngidi who has been great is still sitting in the shed. And we have at least another 2 good prospects sitting in SA. Does not mean that losing Morkel Steyn and Olivier has not hurt. The spin bowling depth has been shown up but that has always been a SA problem. Nobody is saying that SA is the team they were 5 years ago. You really should go read the SA selection thread and see the discussion around the prospects and current selection.
