And how is mentioning flat tracks for Kohli relevant when it is known that AUS mostly produces flat track for everyone .
Because the point he was making was that the batting in 2014/15 Aus tour of India (both Smith and Kohli) wasn't that special because the wickets were flat. It's exactly relevant.

The pitches in India are not relevant at all.

You also aren't seriously suggesting that Smith is not a dud in 4th innings, are you ?
Why don’t you answer the question?

Mark Waugh’s average is as close to Kohli’s as Kohli’s is to Smith’s. That’s how big the gulf between them is.

And no, I don’t think he’s a 4th innings dud, but it’s an element of his game he should certainly look to improve. You don’t average 64 and just cease to be able to bat on the last day.

4th innings at Adelaide was not flat . No matter how much you try to deny that fact.

Jadeja has lower bowling average than Warne . Your point being ?

It was flat. Just not as flat as it was on days 1-4
It provided more assistance to Lyon on day 5 than most of the pitches in Asia that australia have cried about over the years about being unplayable bunsens.

It was indeed flat for the quicks though, yes

So you accept that you were bringing up random irrelevant **** for no reason?
Do you even read properly ? The entire debate started because some poster mentioned that 4th innings pitch at Adelaide was flat and then stephen saying AUS always produces flat track for IND ?

4th innings runs is close to the most useless stat out there. Like you only bat 4th innings half the time and of that half the time only about half those innings actually mean anything.

Is it ten points lower?

Why won’t you answer the question mate? You think Kohli is a better player than Smith, don’t you? Just own it
Lyon averages 9 points higher than Jadeja. Yet you consider him better than Jadeja, don't you ?

4th innings stats are only useless where you use them with no context and cite player A was better because he averaged 67 in the 4th innings (while conveniently forgetting the majority of those came when the match was already dead)

However, the 4th innings knocks which come when the game is still alive going into the final day and which give your team a chance to win/draw are probably the most difficult and under-pressure runs anyone can get.

They’re both trash because they’re finger spinners. Jadeja better in SC by far, wouldn’t get a game in first grade over here

So, in the immortal words of John McEnroe - “The question! Answer the quessssstion.”

That's kind of my point. I just don't feel like Smith's had enough of those chances, especially recently, for it to matter.

Neither would have Ponting, Gilchrist, Warne , Lillee here . Please answer the question , who is better spinner ?

Yes I do read properly mate and I still have no idea why you brought up whether or not pitches in India were flat

I'm not on the Kohli-bashing side of this his innings at Adelaide was fantastic but what you just said there is absolute bull***
