I do have to say that Warner has conducted himself pretty much flawlessly since the ban. No media blitz, no PR campaign, no tell-all media campaigns, no social media stuff. Just good cricket.
Well yeah, but that's purely out of necessity at this point, surely.

Have to think there would have been a clear no-tolerance expectations around any bad noises coming from his corner.

The worst thing about Australia winning this (which is basically a guarantee at this point) is all the articles we'll get about how this was David Warner/Smith's redemption. Even though literally no one doubts how good they are as players.

It's going to be really insufferable.
Meh you can easily avoid articles with wanky headlines. The commentary during the next home summer when they go along averaging 60 and 77 respectively in home Tests on the other hand...

What really bothers me is that this isn't even the strongest Australian squad. They don't even have Haze there.

Anyone questioning the worth of David Warner and Steve Smith on the basis of their batting is absolutely full of it. No question there they are easily the two best Australian batsman

The loss for Australia has not been as big as other teams. India has lost Dhawan while England lost Roy. SA had huge injury losses while WI also have lost Russell now. All of these are potentially bigger losses than Haze.

Until yesterday our third bowler had been going at 7s minimum

I want the Kiwis to come over because I look forward to seeing Williamson bat, but it’d be better if he just put on a net session and England, India or SA played the tests. Ashes brings tradition and hype, India has won here now and need to feel some TPC wrath, and SA always excel here. NZ is plucky and punches above its weight, of course, but I think I’ll be at the beach house rather than the Member’s next January.

Man it’s going to be satisfying when this shell of an Australian team crumbles this summer.
Well known test match shells Steve Smith, Dave Warner, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon are probably looking forward to it too.

I can’t wait for Trent Akram to average 60, personally. Hope Taylor goes well though. Always liked him.
