McLane Park certainly hasn't changed one bit since it got it's outfield relaid.Looks like we're firmly into the late-season dream batting conditions in the Plunket Shield.
Just seems like he never hit form at the right time when a spot might've been available in the NZ team, plus transitioned from middle order to opener when it turned out that there were not in fact more spots available there. The former a bit like Neil Broom and the latter like Dean Brownlie, and like both is probably just below international level I'd guess.McLane Park certainly hasn't changed one bit since it got it's outfield relaid.
Feel a bit for Greg Hay. Given all the spud openers who got a go at test cricket over the years, it really is weird that he never got a chance. Doesn't look like it'll happen now.
524/6d plays 81/6, looking pretty one-sided. Who is MJ Edmondson? Scored 242.The Hawke Cup game is as interesting as the Plunket Shield games. Leopard and Foxcroft turning out for Hawkes Bay. Nelson are captained by Luddick and have Clarkson, Felix Murray and the promising Zohrab brothers.
Twenty five year old accountant and keeper/batsman. First player to score two double tons in Hawkes Bay senior cricket.524/6d plays 81/6, looking pretty one-sided. Who is MJ Edmondson? Scored 242.
https://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/news/article.cfm?c_id=4&objectid=12208755Edmondson has now made four centuries for the Bay side and five, mostly white-ball ones, for his national champion NTOB team bound for Auckland to defend their crown next month.
However, the opener said he had fancied his chances perhaps more as a white-ball player than a red-ball one.
Trouble in paradise, all of a sudden. Bang it in hard if you want to exploit its new variable bounce.McLane Park certainly hasn't changed one bit since it got it's outfield relaid.
Nzfan will be happy. I think he’s done a great job, restoring the Wellington side to a competitive team.https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/crick...-firebirds-coach-after-four-years-at-the-helm
Edgar stepping down. I'm quite surprised he's been in that role 4 years already, seems he was national selector only a year or two ago.
CD have masses of batting and it would be very hard for anyone to break into their side, so a couple should definitely look at the move to Otago.Otago just look like a really poor first class side this season. A real opportunity for a couple of CD/ND fringe players to get both a deposit on a cheap house and get some more regular game time next season
Yeah that's very much like Wagner. He looks a copy of Wagner.
Blundell's world-class pull shot quickly putting that late 130s Wagnerish understudy back in his place.
That is a dangerous way to duck. He has his arse towards the bowler, recipe for disaster if struck.Yes Auckland were probably hoping for more overs from gentle Zak Gibson. Not the reputation-conscious international ND spinners, or the one who was always going to be looking to see Chapman flinch all afternoon rather than prosper.
