Athlai just wants Raval to feature on that list of batsman who have beaten their score the most times

Awesome stuff, hugely deserved.

Hopefully Latham can follow after lunch.

It's so nice to have good openers.

This must be pretty close to being the worst bowling attack to ever play a test in NZ. Even Zimbabwe had Kyle Jarvis when they toured here last in 2012.

Yeah probably. Mehidy is decent though, but not exactly his sort of pitch. They should've just played their full spin attack and just entirely given up any pretense of playing spud quicks.

It's just kinda sad. Even with Sri Lanka you always new their bowling attack had the ability to cause a slip-up or two. Here, there's nothing to do but wait 8-9 days for 3-0. And then they're touring here again in 2 of the next 3 seasons. Just ugh.

I hadn't actually noticed that Fizz/Shakib/Taijul weren't playing. They wouldn't be gunning it in these conditions but it's still more impressive than the 3 blokes they've rolled out with all of 6 Test wickets between them.

Next stats question, how many times have both NZ openers score centuries?

Turner and Jarvis were obvious, and I remembered Mohali (4 100s in one innings, starting with Vincent and Richardson).

Checked cricinfo, there were 2 more, 1 had had forgotten, 1 in an early test match that I wasn't aware of.

With very few exceptions, the Bangladeshis aren’t close to being test standard away from home
