Agreed, he should never be a top 5 batsman, and one imagines Mulder will look to lock that down in the future.I definitely don't think he should ever bat four in Test cricket. I can only see a place for him as a kind of specialist collapse-rescuer batting at six on juicy pitches. If five bowlers are selected (or four bowlers and Mulder) then Bavuma can't be part of the top five, IMO.
He's never going to be anything more than a 35-averaged mediocre Test batsman.
