I don't get why people think it's beneficial for India to bat on. There's not enough time for Australia to set a score that will realistically put India under pressure in a potential 4th innings, there's a very outside chance that if India batted again you'll see something like the Melbourne Test where Australia bowl India out cheaply enough to get a potentially chasable score, it's the last Test of the series so workload isn't as much of a factor and if India do bat on the chances of India running out of time to force a result is quite a bit higher.
