Yeah you basically have to given the weather.Yeah, not sure how anyone can have issue with the follow on. It was the right decision.
3 wickets by close of play will set up an interesting final day.
I just want to pile on the misery on AustraliaI don't get why people think it's beneficial for India to bat on. There's not enough time for Australia to set a score that will realistically put India under pressure in a potential 4th innings, there's a very outside chance that if India batted again you'll see something like the Melbourne Test where Australia bowl India out cheaply enough to get a potentially chasable score, it's the last Test of the series so workload isn't as much of a factor and if India do bat on the chances of India running out of time to force a result is quite a bit higher.
Umpires decision, not the players'.FFS bad light. If Australia were serious about this series they'd have stayed on to chase the improbable win. Going off is just week and speaks volumes about the surrendered mindset of this team. Onya kohli for being Australian and always chasing a win.
There comes a time when you have to be pragmatic. There is no win to be achieved here, there is another series coming up, and batsmen are playing for their places. Nobody's going to chance their arm in a hopeless cause, especially knowing the selectors backstage aren't the kind to appreciate heroics/harakiri.FFS bad light. Haha yeah about five years ago.I thought umpires offered the light option to batsmen. Did that change?
Yeah. Iirc if they go off at a certain reading they stick with that throughout the rest of the match.Don't they use a light meter?
