*Official* Big Bash League 2018-19

I've got Big Bash fatigue already. Got bored last night about 8 overs in and went and read a book. That's how bad it is. And to think the tournament's only like a third of the way through.
The Big Bash is like binge watching a dumb sitcom. You want to kill yourself very quickly.

I've been far less interested in it than previous years, but maybe that's because the Heat have only had 3 games so far with none at the Gabba, while everyone else is up to 4-6 games. With 8 teams you sort of expect to see your team playing every 4th-5th day at least. The weird commentary carousel isn't helping either with some games missing from 7, and some on Fox but taking the 7 commentary which I generally can't stand.

Renshaw back in the Heat squad, will be interesting to see how he fares
Some new faces like Renners will help keep it interesting. One of the reasons I cbf'd last night was seeing Carey and Weatherald go out there again. Same ****s every game for the strikers, give me something different.

If it aint broke why fix it?

You go with the XI you think is most likely to win, and that opening partnership has been a critical part of the success for the Strikers.

I'm not commenting on the effectiveness of strategies.

I just said that it bores me. Langer and Hayden bored me after a few years as well. When Langer retired/someone was injured and Jaques/Hussey or whoever came in it was pretty exciting.

Fair enough, personally I just like actually having a somewhat decent South Australian cricket team for once
They're outstanding. As a neutral, they and the Hurricanes are the teams I'm enjoying watching the most this season.

lol and as I say that he faces 3 balls, including 1 very clean hit and an innocuous play and miss

damn Denly was actually looking like he might do something today, but great ball from Bwerta. Looked like it actually went away off the wicket.

Henriques comes out wearing a hat - has he noticed there's a 145kph bowler at the other end?
