*Official* India Tour of Australia 2018/19

A relatively poor series from Kohli so far. Pujara has scored more runs, faced more balls and hit more fours and sixes to boot. But Pujara too 'failed' on the faster Perth pitch where Kohli played an ATG innings. I've been getting the feeling that the current monikers are inadequate and do not do justice to the full extent of one's abilities.

Pujara should from now on be called a Slow Track bully. He can play all sorts of bowling on all pitches exept the fastest. Be it minefields or green seamers.

Similarly Rahane is a Fast track bully. Virat is a real winner and can score runs on any pitch against the best bowlers. Rohit is a Really Really Slow Track bully.
Rahane is a victim of bullying by spinners.

So Bhuvi out of contention completely because of lack of match practice? Still think should have been in the playing xi since start. His batting would be straight forward tie breaker if on bowling it's a close call. Was MoM in the last test he played and helped India win at Jo'burg

Just curious... Has it always been a thing to declare and deny a 10fer (obviously when you can afford it) or is this ****ishness a recent thing?
Cummins jibbed twice this year.
Colin De Grandhomme could've had a crack at the fastest century of all time when the declaration came. Kohli probably didn't want Bumrah to get a broken hand from one of the Aussie quicks.

He's clearly a similar case to Maxwell - not selected entirely due to non- cricketing reasons.
Burns and Maxwell still exiled yet Labuschagne gets recalled, despite having been vastly inferior to both in both domestic and international cricket

Why is Burns exciled? What did he do?
I suspect because he is not "intense enough" for the current set-up. There's was story about him going surfing the day after he got dropped after the Hobart debacle. Apparently, the right thing to do is call a press conference and breakdown in tears.

He’d only be a hero if he smoked two packets of Winnie Blues and drank a half dozen king browns

There was a fat full forward in South Australia who missed a game cause the pizza he was taking to the game on his bike burned his leg.

Correct. The Boonie we came to know and revere learned his cricket at TOTAB’s feet in the dark days of the mid 80s. Look at all the blokes he developed into tough-as-guts guns: Waugh x2, Boon, Taylor, Healy, Hughes, McDermott to name a few.

Already too many Betas in this Australian setup without taking lessons from the Beta King Virat himself.

My God he looks pregnant. My Dad at 71 looks far fitter. How can a guy in that sort of shape inspire a team of professional athletes?
