I wonder what statistic CricViz's Freddie Wilde will produce to prove that the Indians bowled well to the last pair.

His game is pretty well suited to this anyway tbh. Plays late and straight, blokes can bat around him once he gets in. There's heaps of time in the game, though it will take something special, and no small amount of luck to get there.
He's done it before. Bangalore test v Australia last year was a minefield with tons of unpredictable bounce. Admittedly his knock was in the third innings, but his approach can and will work. The others just need to not get frustrated just because he's not scoring freely at his end.

How long ago was the Oval? It seems a bit harsh?
The Oval was a lost cause, let's not harp on about that. He was clueless the rest of the series. The guy's issues are in the head and now have affected his technique. Don't know what he has to do to get out of this rut.

It will require incredible amounts of luck to get past 200 here IMO. There will be brief intervals where the pitch and ball settle down a tad, but there's no conceivable way we can expect India to chase this down.

If they do that in this situation it's all on them tbh. There's so much time left to chase <300.

Kohli is a spoiled sob but he doesn't shy away from challenges. Looks pumped to walk in already. Nice to see a player look forward to a challenge even in a circumstance like this.
