It’s a stupid plan. They’ll get more reward bowling fuller with mid on and mid off set deeper and straighter. They’re basically gifting Australia a 300 run first dig here on a deck with plenty in it. It’s stupid. Almost the opposite of their plans in Adelaide, which were bang on.
They have a history of doing stupid **** like this.

How does Handscombe still average above 40. Feel he's failed like every innings after his initial breakout summer
Yeah concrete feet has been impressive.

Handscomb averaged around 60 after that summer. He's doing his average dramatically.

Strange times we live in. India, Australia and SA have better bowling attacks than batting lineups while England is just plain weird.

The cricketing world will be in a great place if Head, Dickwella, de Kock, Pant, Hardik , BJ, Wood & Root are all thriving in the game.

Was actually looking at that in the first test. Was hoping a double failure would get him under 40. If he scores 43 runs in this test and dismissed twice his average will be 40 on the dot.

Shaun Marsh must be right up there on the list of underachieving players

He’s got the odd technical fault but it’s basically all mental

We need a starc bouncer to have one bounce into the sight screen so that they have a new Thomo tale.
Starc'll do something interesting on this pitch. Dunno what, but it'll be interesting. If he keeps bumping them over the keeper someone should dong him over the head.

It's especially weird when NZ, who collapsed from 60/0 to 90 all out vs Yasir a couple of weeks ago, has the best 3-6 in the world

To be fair those technical faults are just even highlighted more for him early in his innings. Like throwing those jabby hands at the ball and nicking off or his head over-balancing and getting bowled or LBW.

The more you think about it, they not massive flaws and are some of the easier one's to overcome with habit but he never seems to have done so. Once in, there is no doubting he has ability.
