And continuing his re-invention as a middle order 6 hitter. FC career SR 46, only 7 x 6s in 55 innings. Today century at SR 85, with 5 x 6s.Joe Carter doing a Pujara for ND. Scoring runs at a good pace. ...
Has Rutherford's technique actually improved at all since he last played tests?J Carter doing a Pujara for ND. Scoring runs at a good pace.
I think with Rutherford around there's no chance for Hay to be selected. That said if Will Somerville can make it to BCs at 34 I won't put past Hay to make it to BCs.
Unfortunately when you do what Auckland does, and pick a whole batting unit of middle order players, there's 1 or 2 who are going to get found out. That's been Finn all season, and will be Beghin as well if they leave him up there. They seem to have lost all faith in Guptill-Bunce.Finn Allen out to Kyle Jamieson, good ball that... Unfortunate for Finn to be facing in form Kyle Jamieson just back from NZ A early in the inning. It wasn't a bad shot, just a good ball.
Make that four clean bowleds for Tickner, three of them getting the ball to nip in from outside off.Tickner getting good at hitting the top of off-stump - the guy on debut must feel unlucky to get a ball that good.
was a genuine spray 'n' pray merchant early on, only just started to gain a bit more consistencyTickner looks like a pretty good talent, awkward to face, yet his FC statistics are complete gash. Seems a bit odd to me
shhhhhhhhhhhhhCan't remember the last time Boult, Wagner or Southee missed a test through fitness.).
Southee didn't miss a test in Australia (though he didn't bowl in the 2nd innings of the first test due to a sore back), but has been in and out of the side with niggles over the past couple of years. Injury enforced absences included the 2016 tour of India, the 3rd test v South Africa in 2017 and the first test v WI last summer. Also started this season with a niggle that kept him out of the first two rounds of the Plunket Shield. Could be some rest and rotation for him this summer if we're as dominant as we should be against SL and the Bangerz.shhhhhhhhhhhhh
and it was our tour to oz where southee missed a test and both were half fit coming off injuries
Excellent news looks like he's going to be playing super smash to start with and build up loads for longer format.Santner playing for NORTHERN DISTRICTS A today (T20 match).
https://www.nzherald.co.nz/bay-of-plenty-times/news/article.cfm?c_id=1503343&objectid=11946083Earlier this month Pringle made his debut for Bay of Plenty senior men's team aged 15 years and 74 days, which beats Williamson's record as youngest on debut of 15 years and 111 days set back in 2005.
At Otumoetai Intermediate Williamson scored 426 runs in the preliminary Northern Districts qualifying games for the New Zealand Cup. Pringle, also playing for Otumoetai Intermediate, scored 429 runs in six innings without being dismissed in the qualifying games to beat Williamson's run tally.
"Obviously it is a huge achievement so far and a huge honour for me as Kane is one of my idols as well. It is quite cool to break that [age] record," Pringle said.
