Mainstream betting odds

Australia win: 5/4
India win: 6/4
Draw: 7/2
Book: 106.6%

Expectation (after adjusting overround):
Australia win: 41.7%
India win: 37.5%
Draw: 20.8%

Are these betting guys more knowledgeable about cricket than the pundits on CricketWeb?
Odds are determined by betting movements and are inherently biased. E.g. you can get better odds for Australia in India and vice versa. That's how sports arbitrage outcomes eventuate (backing every outcome at different bookmakers and making a small profit).

Vijay is going to be the second best batsman of the series.
I presume you mean for India?

Like Vijay a lot as a player actually. Pujara too, but I dunno how he’ll go out here this time. Not confident in him tbh

Vijay is going to be the second best batsman of the series.
He'll flop. His best days as a test bat came when he was cautious as **** and didn't edge a lot of balls. He'll play defensively but without as much assurance and fail a lot. Maybe we'll get two good innings out of him in the series.

I am going to take Burgey up on his offer from last year about the members' stand. If it still stands.

Ill monitor your posts between now and new year to make sure your behaviour meets my exacting standards. Assuming it does (bold assumption I know) then we will work out a day to go

Imo one of the Marsh brothers are going to go ballistic this series. My money is on Mitch. A ludicrous double ton on the way.

Now that I've said it however I wait for the combined series tally of 36.3 runs from the both of them.

Is that plan to Rahul to bowl wide and wait until he chops it onto his stumps? Maybe the bounce will be truer and he'll be able to get away with more wild slashes than he has in recent times.

So the choice for final batting spot is between Handscomb and Harris

On the bright side, at least it's not between Tremain and Siddle

If he's picking Handscomb then I guess Usman and Finch open leaving us with a middle order of Marsh (nicking off early) Handscomb (yorkers or lifters at his left armpit) Marsh (through the gate) and Head (can't dance coz he can't move his feet). Feel confident? Add to that Finch's record as an opener in Australia is toilet. That's it Australia - ban 3 test batsmen then make sure you pick every guy with technical flaws and pick another who actually scores runs in the middle order as an opener - where he doesn't.
