That goal Stuttgart conceded from a throw in the other day was pretty lolsy as well. Peter Enkleman-esque.

Did the keeper get a touch as if not I am pretty sure it should not have counted?
Yeah keeper touched it, or at least the ref deemed that he did. Otherwise yeah, would be a corner instead.

I guess the fact that the keeper scrambled desperately after the ball was a bit of a giveaway.

Whilst he's usually as happy as Anderson in cloudy weather, Klopp seems to have this tendency to be a 6 foot 4 angry hard man who'd threaten to eat anyone he dislikes. He really is quite an amusing specimen.

That's the funniest thing about it.

Had the keeper continued ignoring the ball as it went past him then it wouldn't have been a goal. It's the fact he notices at the last second and gets a faint touch on the ball that makes it a goal.

Not as good as van der Vaart's assist for the opposition when he was playing for Hamburg.

edit:

For context (the full length clip I found was abysmal quality), it's the last minute and Hamburg had a free kick on the edge of the centre circle, everyone else went up including the keeper to try and grab an equaliser.

Why shouldn't it be a goal if the keeper didn't touch it?

Bournemouth have made arts out of Fergie time winners and comebacks. So good to watch, should be everyone's second team.

But why does this rule exist?

Ok, I get it now. Any goal can’t be scored from the hand. My bad.

Could have just told me that though.
Haha I was just jesting with you lad.

And it's not just because goals from the hands are not allowed, but because goals from indirect set pieces (such as throw ins) are not permitted.

Accidental handball goals are technically allowed, so if a clearance strikes a hand in a natural position and goes in it should count. Though I think most referees would disallow it.
