I feel the days of watching a five day test has passed as T20 cricket is where the money is and too many players take too many risks batting too aggressively. I used to love watching the bowlers pin a batsman down down and then that batsman defend and pick his moment... This is where test match cricket wins it for me the steady build up and then bang raise the game and put on some runs... England are two up in a five test series and they will just turn up and say **** it, next week we'll improve. If only they batted so well today making the last days unmissable they would sell tickets.

This is also why I feel that the era of test specialists is upon us. In the england team cook. , Anderson, the other opener and broad don't play Lois anymore just like pujara for india. The scheduling also these days doesn't help. I remember how many games touring sides used to play before and in between tests just 15-20 years ago. When australia toured india in 2001 they played a boards presidents xi and the ranji winners before the first test and then also I think one more game in between and that was fairly common back then. The level of the opposition was also quite good to prepare any side for a long tour.

Nothing much will happen with the new ball; it would be similar to what happened with the new ball when India batted.
They have to just wait for the batsman to lose concentration and make a mistake.
