Posting from my phone, as I more often than not do of an evening. No likes on the mobile site.

Not that I’d give one to that **** anyway.

That the 1980s Australian rebel SA tourists not only got relatively light punishments but were incorporated back into the game without issue (including the current Chairman Of Selectors) is a regrettable aspect of Australian cricket.
How long did they get? I know they missed the 1985 Ashes and, iirc, 1986/87 too.

England were similar with the 1982. A three year ban that coincidentally ended just in time for the 1985 home Ashes series.

What's the exchange rate of a ***** like to a Burgey endorsement?

*****'s are almost worthless, they're like then yen. Burgey's are rarer, like pound sterling, but noone really cares about him as compared to the USD of regular currency of the great population.

I didn't even read *****'s loooong post.

Here's another thought: If performing in a world cup final is so hard then how come there is still 1 MoM out of 22 players, same as in a JAMODI? Someone is going to shine relative to others unless they refuse to step on the field because pressure.

Anyway, I should get the award for best unpopular opinion. :D

Just type "tl;dr" too long; 'didn't read'

Read back to ATG of last 25 years, I am sure that ***** prioritises WC games over regular JAMODI in that thread :P

That's ridiculous. Of course there is just 1 MOTM that's the whole point of the MOTM.

You have a point in that if all 22 players **** the bed, someone will **** the bed less than everyone and will shine relative to the rest. However that's again a statement made ignorant of what sport is. You see that a lot in low level sports. Club games are won by the side that just ****s up less. You literally emerge as champions in club cricket just by not bowling extras, taking catches, and not playing dumb shots.

But as you go up the levels you have more and more intense, competitive, driven, talented individuals emerge and when you get to the final of a ****ing World Cup you're not going to have 22 players **** the bed. You might have a guy like Amla go missing, but for sure you're going to have those Dhonis, Waughs, McGraths and other pressure situation specialists playing and they're the ones who will dominate and that's why they deserve to be held in higher regard for those performances compared to JAMODI bullies.

Definitely one of the most unpopular opinions tho. Mainly because you're just plain wrong :P

Lol at a bloke playing and umpiring cricket in Hong Kong taking about moving up through the levels and the intensity of competition. I mean, come on.

Agreed with *****

We should note that Indian players are under the same #pressure in JAMODIs that other nations players face in Finals.

What's all this pressure argument about?
Just prick the balloon of inflated ego, and this much talked about pressure on the player would be relieved in an instant.

I know this is a meme here but it's quite hilarious yet engaging when Indian fans use pressure to justify Tendulkar > Bradman

My personal favourite was the 2016 Wt20 game between Aus and Ind when 1 billion cricket fans in India claimed that it was a "virtual quarter final" match.
