Baggy Green ball tampering: Bancroft, Smith and the Aussie "Leadership Group"

This makes Warner look like an enormous tool. Came up with the plan, coerced a youngster to do it and when it was exposed, refused to front up and admit any wrongdoing. Wow. I'm honestly a bit speechless. Despicable worm. I have a bit of sympathy for both Smith and Bancroft. None for this douchepimple.

A bit of a tangent, but how much of a massive **** is Sanjay Manjrekar, making a completely random cheap shot at the women's Aus side by drawing dubious links to this.

I'm finding it hard to be outraged about lies that happened at a press conference that the team manager never should have allowed to take place.

Love the use of the term douchepimple. Stealing that.

Like I remember the incident but don't remember that defence. Holy **** how on earth did anyone believe that.
Plausible deniability I guess. If we shared a dressing room where ball tampering was openly suggested and you suggested standing on the ball I'd be looking for better ideas.

That's pretty much going from... members of an Aus team have been complicit in ball tampering, to an entire organization, CA, and country are complicit in cheating? Pathetic from him.

It wasn't even cheating! It was being insufficiently congratulatory to an opposition player while the game was still going on.

From this it seems Warner is much more culpable but Smith gets the same sentence? I mean, I guess he is captain. I'm fascinated to know why Warner singled out Bancroft to implement the 'plan'. Hope that comes out in the wash. Really, the lesson is to never admit to your cheating in a press conference, however obvious. Deny, deny, deny.

New guy, eager to please and Warner was his senior opening partner.

Still don't get why saying "Cmon David we can still get em right" or something like that was so hard to say.

At the Risk of another profile infraction from you I dare say it not really the best time to showboat the so called Aussie culture.

And agreed Manjrekar is a **** and will always be
