1 before the lunch break?I hope Andile gets a chance to bowl!
No because that^ is the part that doesn't make senseThere might be a bit of politics but I don't think they ve gone way out of their bounds to do it. They wanted to go with 5 pace bowlers after looking at the pitch. Morris is away on paternity leave, taking Olivier will weaken the batting further. So, Andile was the option. Makes sense from their POV.
Why?I hope Andile gets a chance to bowl!
Because I like Andile. And Im not a d@*k.Why?
It's pointless playing him, he's making up numbers in this game.
Also not sold on him as a Test player yet either.
Just shows you, the guys with the most natural ability often aren't great captains. Kohli, AB, Ian Botham, Lara etc.I couldn't stop laughing when Kohli chose to BAT first on a bowling pitch AND after choosing to play 5 fast bowlers. Haha
Now that Kumble is not there to cover up for him, Kohli's getting exposed as a captain. He has no sense of which players to play and what combination. He lacks the very common cricket knowledge. Its shocking.
Umm...Cricinfo said:Philander to Pujara, no run, whispers sweet nothings to the off stump as it goes by! It's only an inch between the ball and the bail. Seductive sh*t. Pujara allows the romance by leaving a good length ball, which to be honest, pitched a good distance outside off and suddenly bounds in towards its love
I like Andile too, but that does not mean he should be playing... he is not a Test bowler, batsman or allrounder yet. Give him time to develop. And we certainly don't need him more than Maharaj even on a green top. Another batsmen makes far more sense with a 4 man pace attack.Because I like Andile. And Im not a d@*k.
How does wanting to see Andile bowl make you a nice guy?Because I like Andile. And Im not a d@*k.
Yeah but the fact that he shouldn't be playing doesn't mean it's wrong to hope he gets a bowl, which was the statement that opened the discussion.I like Andile too, but that does not mean he should be playing... he is not a Test bowler, batsman or allrounder yet. Fair point.Yeah but the fact that he shouldn't be playing doesn't mean it's wrong to hope he gets a bowl, which was the statement that opened the discussion.
I think his selection here is absolutely ****ing ridiculous but I'm not death-riding him because of it. Or even if I was, I wouldn't question why others who liked him weren't.
