Kohli's got a very fragile ego and gets threatened very easily imo. The alternate opinions must come from those he's close to or else he'll just brush them off. Unfortunately there's no one in the current set up (players or staff) who has enough job security to voice out their opinions.

This is all purely speculation ofc.

He's certainly the most unashamedly win-at-all-costs cricketer I've ever seen play for India. And from an Indian results POV that's hardly a bad thing; his behaviour during the Aus series was exceptionally cynical, but also almost certainly won them a series they were on the brink of getting battered in.

Giving any credit to the turnaround in that series to Kohli's antics is being extremely kind to him.

So, wicket looks like a green one. Apparently KL Rahul might be injured so Shikhar comes back in. Green pitch...drop Pandya and play four seamers? Bhuvi comes back for sure...and apparently Umesh was seen practicing and batting while Bumrah was not. Therefore...this could be the line up:
Shikhar
KL
Pujara
Kohli
Rahane
Rohit
Partiv
Bhuvi
Shami
Ishant
Umesh/Bumrah?

Yeah idk. They really were on the brink on Day 2 at Bangalore. Then he went full **** and it seemed to have a big effect on the rest of the side.
India showed great mental strength to come back and win that match, and subsequently, the series.

They had a chance to pass another big test of their resilience by winning/drawing one of these last two Tests with a fourth innings rearguard, but alas.

According to cricinfo the 'probable' side will be

India (probable): 1 and 2 Two out of M Vijay, 2 Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul, 4 Virat Kohli (capt), 3, 5 and 6 three out of Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya, 7 Parthiv Patel/Dinesh Karthik (wk), 8 to 11 four out of R Ashwin, Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah

Lol.

Imo SA's probable team is eleven out of all available cricketers in the squad

I mean, I called it before the series that nobody has any idea what the XI will be . We ****ed up in the home season by making too many changes (even disregarding injuries) and the management were left with no idea what the best XI is.

I still didn't think it'd get this messy. The situation was already complicated enough before the series and then they went and gave Bumrah a test cap out of the blue and dropped Bhuvi after he was our best player in the first test.

His behaviour sucks and team selections suck. However, I do like his attacking 'win at all costs' (as Spark) put it approach in a test match. That gives India more of a chance to win and I am fine with that. I do not like his team selections at times at all but hopefully he will mature with time in this regard.

I love it when India defeated, a whitewash though gonna be exhilarating!

A billion plus tears gonna flood the Ganges! LMAO!

SA should go in with 5 pacemen and aim for the Indian heads, we all know only Virat can play fastbowling!
