***Official*** India in South Africa 2017/18

So India drop their only seamer with a sub 30 average after he bowled well and batted decently. Love kohli's "intent". .

Interesting ngidi ahead of morris.

I was expecting Morris but I'm so excited for Ngidi. Real talent. Also why was Bhuvi dropped? He isn't even down on pace these days. Comfortably fast medium at least.

Gotta say I'm shocked that Ngidi is in instead of Morris. Faf and Gibson aren't about that safety first approach. I wonder how Olivier will take this.

Feel for him. Obviously feel that Ngidi has more potential but Olivier has done nothing wrong. Hope he doesn't get disillusioned because in a few years he might very well be in our XI with Steyn, Philander and Morkel all close to their mid thirties.

Olivier is the pick if Philander/Morkel get injured. Bowls with the new ball, nice swing and seam. But he is not a 4th pace bowler who you want to run in hard and rough the batsmen up. Morris is the player that can feel aggrieved, if anybody.

Maybe Morris is the Philander replacement in terms of being an all-rounder? Just trying to understand the thinking.

Started well here Bumrah, if anything he's probably a fraction too short with this new ball. Shami looks short on pace and rhythm, bit like his first innings at Newlands.

Really surprised India have chosen Bhuvi as the fall guy!

Excited to see Ngidi ahead of Morris aswell.

No seriously is that team legit? I cannot fathom any sort of cricket logic which makes Bhuvi droppable in place of Ishant, unless they really do view him as a total greentop specialist.

Ngidi and Morris sitting next to eachother having a good chuckle. If Morry is put out hes not showing it.

It's difficult to find any logic in dropping Bhuvi. Would have thought with his performance with the ball (and contributions with the bat, albeit a secondary consideration) that he had earned the right to have a crack at keeping India in the series at Centurion.

Makram is looking good. Next SA captain I rekon. Who are the other candidates?
His opening partner Elgar. But would probably give it to Markram. Dean then vice.

Theunis de Bruyn and Wiaan Mulder may come into contention if in the team but the above 2 will be a good combo.
