It's difficult because I'm not sure what the options are. Do we go back to Renshaw who was in horrific FC form pre-series?

I guess the other option is to move Uzzie to open and have Smith at 3. Just seems a bit more vulnerable that way though, esp with MMarsh at 6.

Smarsh would be more likely to move up to open, with Maxwell or Handscomb or someone coming in to the middle order

He looks like that regardless though, it's just his style. Downside is that when he screws up it looks terrible and pretty much always will be labeled a "lazy shot"

Smarsh would be more likely to move up to open

At this point I think we might see Usman open and Marsh bat 3, if they were going to do a reshuffle.

A reshuffle of that nature seems highly unlikely to me in general though.

Yeah, I can't shake off the suspicion that Khawaja has mostly feasted on fairly weak attacks at home and New Zealand, apart from his knock against SA in Adelaide. Dunno what the alternatives are though.
