The angle of that delivery in particular.....marginally missing leg. Paine was basically unsighted

I'm not sure Smith was that interested in Paine's answer. I don't feel Paine was in a better position than Starc who was totally disinterested.

Looks like it's very difficult to dismiss set batsman on this wicket without them doing serious damage. New ball in our innings is key - 2 down (or even more) and England will be feeling very good, anything less and I could easily see a massive reply.
