And this is why Pattinson was always up against it to play. The bodies of the rest have stabilised, niggles aside. His hasn't. Sad but until it does, he should be outside reckoning for the forseeable.

He's actually gotten fit enough and good enough to play several times over the last few years but just hasn't been able to break into the side past the incumbents.

It's a combination of that and his chronic injuries that make it look like he's unlikely to play much even when he does get fit enough.

Reminds me of Marchant de Lange, when I first saw him he was bowling 150kmh+ with an explosive, javelin style bowling action. When I saw him in county cricket earlier his action was completely different and he was a yard slower.

I was there in the rafters last summer thanks, and this slanderous post couldn't be further from the truth. The lowers decks were almost a quarter full last summer during the Pakistan test.

Anyone but Siddle. Pleeeaaaaassseee. But more seriously, Behrendorff should get next go if things get that bad. Worrall too, because of his run and the fact he's an actual swing bowler, which I like.

Just hope we don't have to dig into our third XI. It's better than most countries 3rd XI bowling attacks but going that far means that you're four first-choice seamers down which is ****ed.

EDIT: Although Bird apparently will be fit for the start of the Sheffield Shield, so he still should be fit for the Ashes.
