We'd have had the same with Hargreaves, i'm sure there's plenty of Portuguese/Spanish players who have only been out of Sao Paolo for 5 mins

What does everyone think of Poch's problem with the UEFA regulations? Dier doesn't count as homegrown, even though he plays in England and for England.
The problem is if the rules were nationality specific they would be illegal.

Sounds like it was a pretty dour game, and we didn't bring our best. Oh well, onwards and upwards.
It'll be interesting to see how you play when you're behind for any length of time. At the moment it's hard to tell whether you've been effectively shutting games down or just happen to be decent at defending and very bad at attacking.

Besides Palace, a win that looks less impressive by the day, we've struggled going forward most of the time, and that was pretty similar last season really. We were very good at controlling the ball without much end product (56 goals in 46 games last year). And we got a couple of pantsings, which was largely responsible for our negative goal difference - coming from behind isn't something that we have really shown much aptitude for.

However, when we've got Christopher Schindler, we're bound to be decent at defending

Watching the goals show on BT and Olympiacos amusingly seem to have elected not to fielded a defence.

I'm still waiting for it to go all wrong, so not gloating, but...

If we were another side and had had this start, bought a record signing who we've kept on the bench, because we don't need him, then when needed we brought him on and he helped turn around a losing position with 15 minutes to go to a last-minyte winner, I'd be quietly confident.

See you in May when we swap places.

I almost feel sorry for Brendon Rodgers. I think he's definitely improved Celtic. But all they do is still win everything, but by a greater margin and are out of Europe by Christmas.

I find it difficult to imagine being a fan of football in Scotland, must just seem so futile and pointless, even if you support Celtic.

**** Brendan Rodgers. The bullshit he spouted about Sterling to City, then he had the gall to try to play the victim when City wouldn't sell Patrick Roberts to them. Eat a ****ing dick you whiny ****.
