Is this some sort of policy not to make Champions League teams play on the previous Sunday, or is it just coincidence? These matches are a great advert for Cydrax.

It's a normal Sky thing early on in the Season, Contractual Obligation matches, get them out the way, then they can concentrate on teams people want to watch, later in the season.

Tbh, all three of these Sunday/Monday match do have stories attached to them, fair few managers that could go, and Sanches. Still I didn't watch any of it so far. Probably will Mondays.

Championship is such a crazy league. Looking at the shot stats it would make much more sense if you and Ipswich swapped.

Feel like there was a lot of money to be made betting that Aston Villa wouldn't be setting the pace though.
Yeah plenty of people worth listening were tipping them to do badly, their football was even more horrible than I expected though.

Ipswich already starting to revert but Reading managed to do it for a whole season last year so hope we are not the reverse case.

Mad how bad you have been yet are so close points wise to the top of the table. Really tight division.
Yep, mass inconsistency means that if we can get our act together we are well placed to deliver. Most seasons a start like ours would already rule a side out of the conference title race. As it is, we appear to still be favourites with most bookies.

Yeah betting against the team containing Glenn Whelan is generally a good move.

I didn't follow that advice but I did bet on Wolves to go up after they got huge nerd-hype. That was even before they got Jota. Crazy league though. Almost every game looks a close match on paper.

What have you got against bricks?

Always thought it was a shame that Sutton retired before he got blinded.

Pretty funny, they've been quite bad but not 'get Roy Hodgson on the phone asap' bad. Maybe the players hated him, although imo yesterday's performance doesn't suggest that was the case.

What does everyone think of Poch's problem with the UEFA regulations? Dier doesn't count as homegrown, even though he plays in England and for England.

It's ludicrous. The whole idea of the home grown rule is surely to help the national team. If this is the first time this situation has arisen anywhere they'll probably change the rule in the future.
