I know I'm tired right now because I read that and my first thought was that you were trying to claimSangakarra was the leading runscorer in 1945

I mean Sanga is as close to perfection as you can get as human. But maybe immortality is beyond him.

Dominic Bess has to be a forcing his way into some Lions teams at some point doesn't he? Has he taken wickets away from Somerset?

Can't see him moving past Leach at this point. Looks a good bowler though. Vic Marks a big fan. Certainly not impossible that next time we go to Asia, Leach and Bess are both in England squad.

Still going by the way young english spinners fall away he could be released within two years. Adam Riley struggling hard at Kent these days.

Hope Somerset manage to stay up. Good test for the the batsman in the division going to Taunton. Rather think Somerset would run through div 2 with Leach and Bess ripping apart teams at Taunton.

Abell must be close to dropping himself at Somerset and relinquishing the captaincy.

T20 squad (for SA T20s) announced at midday apparently. Might have a few of Root, Stokes, Ali, Wood rested. Few new names. Livingstone?

Giving Abell the captaincy really is looking like a masterstroke. Gregory finally putting up some consistent numbers with the bat

The best thing about Yorkies is that they're usually pretty taciturn - there's nothing worse than when they get chopsy

I'm glad Essex are leading the table. Their success somewhat pays lie to the theory about division two yo-yo teams.
