Have just spent the last 15 minutes trying to work out when Lancashire's quarter final is - feeling rather foolish atm!

Dominic Bess has to be a forcing his way into some Lions teams at some point doesn't he? Has he taken wickets away from Somerset?
You were bang on. Leach too. Somerset aren't playing that round of championship fixtures that clash with the lions game so makes sense. Don't think they'd have taken 3 players from SOmerset otherwise. or 3 from Surrey. They've taken 2 from Essex though.

England Lions (versus South Africa A, Canterbury, June 21-24)

Keaton Jennings (Durham, capt)

Mark Stoneman (Surrey)

Haseeb Hameed (Lancashire)

Nick Gubbins (Middlesex)

Dan Lawrence (Essex)

Ben Foakes (Surrey, wk)

Sam Curran (Surrey)

Jamie Overton (Somerset)

Tom Helm (Middlesex)

Jamie Porter (Essex)

George Garton (Sussex)

Jack Leach (Somerset)

Dominic Bess (Somerset)

Hameed finding a bit of form is welcome news. Needs a score to settle himself down prior to test series.

I like that team. George Garton rather lucky to be there but if you show a bit of pace then doors open for you (justifiably so to a degree).

Of course they go for JOverton... have to say Bess is lucky to be there this early on. Is it not the perfect opportunity for Crane?

Very pleased to see Stoneman involved though.

Less pleased about the fact Notts are looking for 450 from here

Surely Allenby or Trego could have bowled before now..

Even bloody Elgar ahead of Myburgh

If Bess is lucky how could Crane possibly have a shout? Bess has comprehensively out bowled him in first class cricket.

Crane is in the senior England T20 squad that happens at the same time as the lions game. Craig Overton too.

450 is very much on the cards.

I'm trying to remember how many Surrey made in a ridiculous match against Galmorgan about 15 years ago. Maybe 430? And Glamorgan didn't finish too far short iirc.
Is that still the record for English domestic oneday games?

Rory Kleinveldt made 128?? Had no idea the teddy bear could bat.
I think "made" and "bat" might be generous. He is an excellent striker of the ball though, did it to England in the CT semi final last tournament after they collapsed IIRC

Sanga is godly, he just is. His powers are so great you actually want Surrey to win matches.

Boo, such an inelegant way to get out from one of the most elegant batsmen ever:(

Imagine, yorkshire people will actually be happy about that, philistines.
